Vintage meets modern is the customized theme on which I built all the wedding details. Chateau Musar was a beautiful empty castle and every single detail and idea of this magical night was personalized and built from scratch. I had the honour of working with the amazing and professional team at Paul Nasr, which also made the several months of wedding planning overseas much easier. I am a very detail oriented person and every corner and every bit of that day was customized according to me and my husband’s personalities. The vintage character of the wedding was accentuated by violinists and a harpist playing at the reception, around a lovely decorated fountain inside the castle. From the handpicked peonies, lilies and lavender on the tables, to the pearl-adorned chandeliers and infinite candles, each of these details helped build the modern aspect of the theme. The windows of the castle, reflecting on the outdoor seating area, were equipped with beautiful large LED screens playing effects throughout the whole wedding, also bringing up the modernity in the night. The groom entered on a Tiesto song in a very non-traditional type of entrance along with a performance by the 8eme Art. The invitee tables were named after different perfumes such as “Miss Dior” and “Opium” where each one of them was given a perfume sample with the smell matching the designated table. The cake was designed by Cat and Mouth Catering and it’s an out of the ordinary wedding cake which we also called crazy cake. The twirls in the cake which were gold gave it its vintage feel but at the same time, I purposely picked to have a modern and non-traditional type of cake reflecting us as bride and groom, we had cake pops instead of regular cake bites. The candy bar was one of my favourite sections with customized candy bags for the guests to take away. Other entertainment details included Dj Nadim, Manal Mallet, Albert and Joe Achkar. Guests were invited to light up the sparkles at the cake cutting on Sky Full of Stars by Coldplay. Hubby and I also surprised the guests with a dance on Avicii’s Addicted to you.

My wedding dress was designed by Zuhair Murad. I chose an A-type cut which I found perfectly comfortable and unique. The dress was designed with lace, sequins and pearls all along. I am a fan of details, which was reflected on the top part of the dress. The golden crown I wore was also from Zuhair Murad and it was from his previous season with the leaf theme and it was adorned with Swarovski crystals all along. The shoes were René Caovilla. I found them in Toronto a couple of month before the wedding and thought they would go perfectly with the dress. They are so elegant and their shiny bottom makes them perfect for this day. My hair and makeup were done by the very talented Milad Hannoun and his team, who flew in from Syria the day before just for this special occasion and who gave me this elegant yet modern up-do.
